Pookode Lake is one of the best places to visit in Wayanad – a perennial freshwater lake nestled among evergreen forests and mountain slopes near Lakkidi. Spreading across 8.5 hectares with a depth of about 6.5 meters, the lake feeds Panamaram rivulet which joins the Kabini River. From above, the lake resembles the shape of India's map.
